Why people come to us

Three things that stop people
going back to study.

"I can't afford to stop working."

Our partner institutions run timetables built around working adults — daytime, evening and blended study, usually two or three days a week. You keep your job and your income.

"My qualifications are old or foreign."

Many courses accept work experience, international qualifications, or a Foundation year as a route in. We look at what you actually have and tell you honestly what it opens.

"I can't pay tuition upfront."

Depending on your status and study history, you may be eligible for Student Finance England to cover your tuition. We check your situation before you apply, not after.

Funding

Up to £23,925 a year, and nothing upfront.

Eligible students fund their studies through Student Finance England. Tuition goes straight to the university. The maintenance loan goes straight into your bank account.

Tuition fee loan Up to £9,790 Paid directly to your university. Not means-tested.
Maintenance loan £7,039 – £14,135 Paid into your account in three instalments, for rent and living costs.
Higher rates apply in some parts of the country. The exact figure depends on where you study. 2026/27 academic year

Zero commission

We don't charge you a penny. Our service is free for students from the first call to enrolment.

Paid across the year

Your maintenance loan arrives in three instalments, one at the start of each term.

9%

Repay only when earning

On Plan 5 you repay 9% of what you earn above £25,000 a year. Below that, you pay nothing.

Your entitlement depends on your household income, where you live and study, your residency status and your previous study. We check your specific situation before you apply. Full eligibility criteria at gov.uk/student-finance.

  • You want someone to explain the funding properly

Questions

The things people ask
on the first call.

What does your support cost?

Nothing. Futurus Squared is free for students — we're funded by the institutions we work with. You pay tuition to the university or college, never to us.

Can I study while working full-time?

Yes. Our partner institutions run timetables designed for working adults, typically two or three days a week, with daytime and evening options. We'll match you to a timetable that fits your shifts.

Do I need recent qualifications to apply?

Not always. Several courses accept relevant work experience or offer a Foundation year as an entry route. Send us what you have and we'll tell you straight away what it qualifies you for.

My qualifications are from another country. Do they count?

Often, yes — international qualifications are assessed against UK equivalents. We check yours before you apply so you're not guessing.

How is tuition paid for?

Many students fund their tuition through Student Finance England. Eligibility depends on your residency status and previous study, so we check your specific situation as part of the first call.

What happens after I submit the form?

An adviser contacts you within one working day. The first conversation is a conversation — you're under no obligation to apply to anything.
